THE REHEARSAL
One videographer will arrive at the rehearsal early to take exterior and interior footage of the facility and then clips of the rehearsal itself. We also use that opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the bride, groom, family, and wedding party. The videographer will attempt to gather more details from the bride, groom, and coordinator regarding wedding day itinerary, arrival times, getting dressed, photo shoots, and allowable camera placement in the facility.

It is at OUR CHOICE AND DISCRETION to attempt any close-up and personal interview, or special messages from the bride and groom. If the bride and groom are not pressed for time and are willing to be interviewed privately, we will work that footage into one of the DVD chapters or create a separate chapter to the effect of: "A message from the Bride to her Husband", etc. Such footage would be 1-3 minutes long. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF THE INCLUSION OF THIS FOOTAGE IN THIS WEDDING PACKAGE unless the videographer determines such footage is noteworthy and sufficient.

All the Rehearsal footage will most likely be used for the "Intro" chapter on the DVD. The videographer will not leave the Rehearsal until the bride and groom leave or until they give the videographer the OK to depart.

THE CEREMONY
2 videographers will begin working 3 hours before the ceremony to attempt catching footage of the bride and groom arrival and getting ready. If the bride and groom are getting ready at another location and within 5 miles of the ceremony location, the videographers will make every attempt to catch footage of their preparations. If the arrival and preparations begin longer than 3 hours before the ceremony, regardless of location, there will be NO GUARANTEE that the final DVDs will contain a "Getting Ready" chapter, or "The Guys" chapter, or "The Bride" chapter, etc.... In this situation, the videographers will attempt some "staged" shots of the wedding party's preparation such as putting on makeup, adjusting ties, fixing cufflinks, bride fixing hair, doing some creative or funny group shot, and will "shadow" the photographer to catch pre-ceremony picture-taking, if any.

In an ideal situation, one videographer catches the bride arrival and takes footage of the dress, shoes, and accessories before the bride gets dressed. Then footage of final preparations, make up, putting on garter, veil, lipstick, some photographer picture-taking, and the departure to the ceremony. The other videographer shadows the groom and groomsmen and takes a few "staged" clips of getting dressed, tying shoes, adjusting ties, cufflinks, and a few outdoor "action" group clips.

Typically, the videographers then converge and stay close to the photographer to catch any pre-ceremony picture taking. At some point, the videographers then must break away to prepare to set up for the ceremony. Typical camera placement is one camera in the back of the room, to catch the bride entrance, and looking down the aisle, to catch the bride and groom profile. The other camera is to the front right side to catch the bride's face. The groom will then be outfitted with the wireless lapel microphone. PLEASE NOTE SOME CHURCHES HAVE RESTRICTIONS ON CAMERA PLACEMENT AND WIRELESS MIC USE! A third unmanned "palmcorder-type" camera may be used in a balcony or as a distant overall shot. The choice to use this camera or not is at OUR DISCRETION.

At the ceremony conclusion, the videographer at the rear unmounts the camera from the tripod and follows the bride and groom outside. The bride and groom may elect to have a moment alone, before post-ceremony picture-taking.

We make our best effort to catch everything... but as indicated in the contract/agreement, there is NO GUARANTEE of catching every moment. Circumstances beyond our control may affect the final project: soloist standing out of visual range, groomsman blocking the bride's face, CHURCH RESTRICTIONS ON CAMERA PLACEMENT AND WIRELESS MIC USE!, unexpected flower arrangement blocking a view, bride/groom blocking view while lighting unity candle, groom's jacket ruffling against microphone, equipment failure, etc, etc, etc...

THE RECEPTION
The reception is treated as the most "documentary" style of all. Very little effects are used, but we still use smooth camera movements and fading transitions between shots to give the presentation a graceful touch. The videographer stays in touch with the reception coordinator and the DJ to make sure everything is captured: wedding party announce, first dance, bride-father, groom-mother, toasts, bouquet toss, garter toss, lots of dancing, and bride groom departure. It is at OUR CHOICE AND DISCRETION whether or not to solicit wedding guests to give well-wishes to the bride and groom "on the spot". Our strategy is to film guests at their table and then ask them to find us later if they want to leave a special message. This strategy yields fewer well-wishes, but more heart-felt ones.

Our policy is NO TIME LIMIT. The videographer will not leave until the bride and groom leave... HOWEVER... if the bride and groom stage a "fake departure" (to accomodate early guest departures or party-goers with children... bride/groom changing attire and returning), then the "fake departure" is the videographer's indication to leave.
